Course: English Grammar and Composition Classes Nine and Ten
এটি আপনার চাহিদা অনুযায়ী প্রথমে বাংলা ১২–১৫টি বাক্য की composition এবং তারপর নাউনের Kinds of Nouns-এর জন্য একটি সেমান্টিক HTML লেকচার-স্লিপ দেওয়া হলো। ১) 12–15 বাক্যের বাংলা রচনা: The Noun Kinds of Nouns Nouns-এর সংখ্যা ও গঠনের কারণে ইংরেজিতে বাঙালি ভাষার মতো singular এবং plural দুটি সংখ্যা দেখা যায়; তবে collective noun–এ verb agreement পরিস্থিতিনুযায়ী ভিন্ন হতে পারে, যেমন The government has decided... তবে ঐটি গোষ্ঠীর সিদ্ধান্ত বোঝালে has/have-এর ব্যবহারে সামঞ্জস্য থাকে। Proper nouns সাধারণত singular হয়, তবে বহু proper noun থাকলে form-plural হয়, যেমন The Maldives is an island country (plural in form but verb singular)। Material nouns-কে আমরা সাধারণত count করতে পারি না, তাই “Oxygen is a material noun” বলা হয়। Abstract nouns–কে আমরা বাক্য-রচনায় subject বা object হিসেবে ব্যবহার করি—যেমন “Honesty is the best policy.” Hasan is a rich farmer; “Hasan” proper noun, “farmer” common noun। Overall, noun–Kinds of Nouns শেখা ভাষা-বিজ্ঞানায় একটি গুরুত্বপূর্ণ ধাপ; এতে ভাষা-গঠন, বানান, এবং বাক্য-প্রবাহ সুসংগঠিত হয়। 2) Now আপনি চেয়েছেন semantically-structured lecture sheet (HTML) + Answer-Details:Lesson

Conceptual Explanation
The Noun (noun) is a naming word; it can name a person, place or thing. Five kinds of nouns exist in English: Proper nouns (specific names, usually capitalized), Common nouns (general names), Collective nouns (group or collection), Material nouns (names of materials/substances that are usually uncountable), and Abstract nouns (qualities, states or ideas with no physical form).
Proper nouns typically begin with a capital letter and are usually singular, though some may be plural in form. Common nouns can be singular or plural. Collective nouns take either singular or plural verbs depending on whether the group is regarded as a single unit or as individual members. Material nouns name substances that are usually not countable, like water or gold. Abstract nouns name qualities or concepts such as freedom or beauty.
Important Notes
- Plural forms can be irregular (e.g., man – men; foot – feet).
- A proper noun used as a common noun is possible in certain contexts; e.g., Shakespeare is a great dramatist.
- Possessive forms: singular noun + 's; plural noun ending in s + apostrophe (s not added to plurals ending in s).
- Some nouns can function as different parts of speech depending on usage (e.g., The word “Shakespeare” as proper noun and as common noun in examples).
